Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students across K-12 levels as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This onsite position begins with a comprehensive new hire orientation from August 12th to 14th, ensuring youre well-prepared for a successful school year ahead. You'll be working full-time, 35 hours per week, supporting learners in a positive, collaborative setting.

Your expertise will help students in special education reach their full potential. While the caseload and specific grade levels will be determined, your adaptability and skill set will be vital for crafting individualized interventions. The roles schedule mirrors the school calendar, providing consistency and a strong work-life balance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois OT or COTA license (please submit with your application)
  • Experience providing occupational therapy in educational settings, particularly with K-12 populations
  • Comfort and flexibility working with varied caseloads (caseload/grades to be determined)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills

As part of the daily responsibilities, you will:

  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored therapy plans for students
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services onsite
  • Collaborate with special education staff and contribute to IEP processes
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate records following school and state guidelines
  • Offer strategies and support to help students participate fully in their educational environment
