Make a meaningful impact as an Occupational Therapist working with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This contract opportunity offers five openings for the 2026/27 school year, providing services onsite in a vibrant educational setting near Waukegan, Highland Park, and Northbrook, IL. You will play a vital role in supporting students learning, growth, and functional independence throughout their school day.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license is required
- Previous experience in a school setting or with K-12 populations is highly valued
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with educators, families, and staff
- Ability to manage time efficiently and adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to a diverse K-12 caseload, fostering students participation in their educational program
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and document progress according to school and district guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and multidisciplinary teams to support students academic and functional goals
- Provide consultation, strategies, and resources for staff and family members to reinforce students success in both school and community settings
- Maintain accurate records and reports while adhering to professional and ethical standards
