Step into a fulfilling school-based contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), providing district-wide support to students from Pre-K through 12th grade. This assignment begins as soon as possible and is anticipated to run approximately 12 weeks as coverage for an FMLA maternity leavewith a strong chance of extension, although the initial contract will only reflect the leave period.

Youll have the chance to collaborate with educators and families, support students with diverse abilities, and be a key player in fostering student independence and success throughout the district. The district is welcoming both OTs and COTAs with active Connecticut licensure who are enthusiastic about making a positive impact, even on a temporary basis.

Qualifications:

• Current Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license, OR
• Current Connecticut COTA license/certification (CT DPH License/Passed NBCOT Exam)
• Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
• Reliable transportation to travel across district locations
• Eagerness to work with students across all age groups (Pre-K12)
• Commitment to fulfilling a 12-week maternity leave assignment, understanding extension is possible but not guaranteed

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy support and interventions to students district-wide
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and family members
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Document therapeutic progress and report outcomes
• For COTAs: Work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist as required

This position features a district-wide caseload, consistent weekday hours (approx. 77.5 hours per day; final schedule to be confirmed), and the chance to gain or expand experience within a supportive school environment.
