Embark on a dynamic school-based contract opportunity serving students across multiple sites in the greater Waterbury, CT area. Starting at the end of August 2026 through early February 2027, you'll provide vital Occupational Therapy services, making a meaningful impact in educational settings. This full-time, onsite assignment offers the chance to work collaboratively with educators while honing your expertise in pediatric and school-based OT practice.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Holds an active Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of Connecticut
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong ability to adapt to varying school environments and student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledgeable in IEPs, assessments, and therapeutic interventions for students K-12
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across multiple schools in the district
- Conduct assessments, craft individualized treatment and intervention plans, and actively participate in IEP meetings
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and communicate effectively with educators, parents, and administrators
- Promote students participation and success in classroom activities and routines
- Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations regarding therapy services
