Job Description

This full-time, contract opportunity is projected to run from mid-August 2026 through mid-June 2027, providing essential services across multiple grade levels. With your expertise, youll help empower students to participate more fully in school activities and achieve their educational goals.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (must be current; please submit a screenshot of your license with your application)
  • Demonstrated experience working as an OT within a school environment
  • Strong background collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in developing and carrying out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Effective communication, flexibility, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work with diverse students from kindergarten through 12th grade

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs, ensuring compliance with IEPs and school policies
  • Evaluate and assess students to develop individualized intervention plans
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student progress and achievement
  • Maintain thorough documentation and records in accordance with local and federal guidelines
  • Offer staff in-service training as needed to promote awareness and carry out OT recommendations within the classroom
