Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to impact the lives of K12 students in a supportive educational setting for the upcoming 20262027 school year. This full-time contract position offers the chance to provide both onsite and teletherapy services, collaborating with educators and families to help students thrive academically and functionally.

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, using your expertise to assess students needs, develop tailored intervention plans, and support their skill development. Your contribution will help students build independence and confidence in their daily school routines.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Maine
  • Current Maine state fingerprint clearance
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy for students in grades K12
  • Capability to deliver services both in-person and through teletherapy platforms
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Compassionate approach and ability to adapt to diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop customized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services for students, utilizing a mix of onsite and virtual methods
  • Document all evaluations, interventions, and progress according to school and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with general and special education staff and parents
  • Educate staff and caregivers on adaptive strategies and modifications to enhance student participation
  • Support a positive and inclusive school environment that promotes student success
