Job Description

Bring your expertise in occupational therapy to a vibrant K-12 school community situated in the Vevay, IN area. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Occupational Therapist seeking a short-term assignment: a 6-week leave of absence coverage beginning in mid-October. As the Occupational Therapist in this role, you will work a consistent 37.5-hour week, providing services across various school sites. Youll share the caseload with a talented COTA and will be responsible for supervision. Your skill in managing diverse student needs, supporting your team, and navigating different school environments will be highly valued.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Indiana Occupational Therapist (OT) license
  • Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
  • Proficiency in supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel between multiple school campuses as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers to support student progress
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the COTA as they serve the caseload alongside you
  • Adapt interventions for a variety of educational environments and student abilities
