Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience providing OT services in school-based settings
- Ability to work effectively with students at various grade levels, from elementary through high school
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Creative problem-solving and adaptive approach to student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students to determine OT needs within the educational environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective treatment plans and goals
- Provide direct and consultative OT services individually and in small groups
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with education regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team processes
- Educate and support school personnel and families regarding interventions and accommodations
