What were looking for:

• Active Occupational Therapist licensure in California (CA OT Licensure)
• Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
• Skill in creating individualized education plans (IEPs) and participating in team meetings
• Comfort working with a diverse student population across various age groups
• Ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and outside providers to support student progress
• Previous exposure to healthcare or home health OT settings a plus
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct functional assessments for students on caseload
• Develop and implement customized therapy interventions according to IEP goals
• Monitor and document student progress, making recommendations as needed
• Provide training and resources to teachers and families regarding student needs
• Support transition planning and help facilitate access to adaptive equipment or modifications
• Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary teams
