What were looking for:
- Active Occupational Therapist licensure in California (CA OT Licensure)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
- Skill in creating individualized education plans (IEPs) and participating in team meetings
- Comfort working with a diverse student population across various age groups
- Ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and outside providers to support student progress
- Previous exposure to healthcare or home health OT settings a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct functional assessments for students on caseload
- Develop and implement customized therapy interventions according to IEP goals
- Monitor and document student progress, making recommendations as needed
- Provide training and resources to teachers and families regarding student needs
- Support transition planning and help facilitate access to adaptive equipment or modifications
- Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary teams
