An opportunity is available for a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide essential support in a school setting located in Ventura, CA. This contract position focuses on delivering therapeutic services to children within the educational environment, helping students develop the skills necessary for academic success and daily functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate the needs of students requiring occupational therapy services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students unique goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to promote student progress
- Document and monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Support students across a range of age groups, adapting interventions to meet diverse needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapy license (CA OT Licensure) is required
- Experience working in school settings preferred, with additional knowledge in healthcare and home health occupational therapy considered a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a caseload and deliver quality care in a contract role
