This part-time, in-person contract role offers the rewarding opportunity to collaborate with local school teams and help learners reach their full potential. You'll deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions, develop tailored support strategies, and empower students to thrive in their educational environments.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Recent experience working in school-based, healthcare, or pediatric OT settings preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students, teachers, and families
- Strong organizational abilities for documentation and scheduling
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to K-12 students, focusing on motor planning, sensory processing, and adaptive skills
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to help develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess students needs through standardized evaluations and contribute to progress monitoring
- Maintain detailed therapy logs and reports to ensure effective communication with educators and families
- Communicate goals and strategies clearly to teachers and caregivers for carryover outside of therapy sessions
