This full-time, onsite contract role offers the unique opportunity to work with grade levels K-12, helping students achieve their best through personalized and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license required
- Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Comfort working with K-12 students, including students with varying needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and other school professionals
- Ability to conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and deliver direct therapy services onsite
- Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students needs and create individualized intervention plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services and monitor progress for students in K-12
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to integrate therapy goals in classroom settings
- Document interventions and maintain compliance with state and federal education guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Provide guidance to staff and families on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
