Job Description
An occupational therapist (OT) is needed for a contract position in a school setting located in Trenton, NC. This role involves providing therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, supporting their educational and developmental needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid North Carolina OT Licensure required
- Experience working in school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 45 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, school staff, and families
Job Details:
- Contract position
- 30-35 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Age group served: Kindergarten to 12th grade
- Location: Trenton, NC
Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and provide individualized therapy services for students
- Develop and implement therapy goals and treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and assist with student assessments and eligibility determinations
