Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Michigan
  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEPs and school-based documentation
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to tailor interventions for individual student needs
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments for students referred for OT services
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEPs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to help students enhance fine motor, sensory-motor, and adaptive skills
  • Monitor progress, maintain clear documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Offer professional recommendations and training to school staff as needed
  • Adjust strategies to meet the needs of a diverse caseload
