Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Kansas
• Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and the ability to contribute to student accommodations
• Confident communicator, able to collaborate effectively with educators, students, and families
• Knowledgeable in providing both direct therapy and consultative services

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students needs and develop individualized therapy plans
• Deliver occupational therapy services to students, focusing on motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive behaviors
• Participate as a vital member of the IEP team, offering input and recommendations to support student learning
• Maintain detailed and accurate records, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and documentation required by the school and district
• Educate staff and families about strategies and accommodations that foster student independence and success
• Adapt therapy activities and techniques to meet diverse student needs within both individual and group settings
