Embark on a rewarding contract assignment delivering occupational therapy services to elementary and middle school students in the Topeka area for the upcoming academic year. This unique opportunity invites you to work across multiple school buildings, providing essential support to a diverse caseload while collaborating with dedicated education professionals. Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in school settings, especially providing OT services to elementary and middle school students, is preferred
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing procedures is an advantage
- Strong communication and adaptability for working across various school buildings
- Commitment to supporting the developmental and educational success of students
Position Details and Responsibilities:
- Contract position running from August 6, 2026, through May 26, 2027
- 3540 hours per week, with caseload varying based on student needs
- Provide direct and consultative OT services tailored to individual student goals
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster inclusive learning environments
- Maintain accurate records and complete Medicaid billing documentation as required
- Contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) and participate in relevant meetings
