Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students in a school-based occupational therapy role near Topeka, KS. This assignment runs from approximately August 6, 2026, through May 26, 2027, offering a consistent weekly schedule of 35-40 hours. Youll primarily serve elementary-aged students, addressing a range of needs within a varied caseload.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapy (OT) license
- Current CPR certification
- Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Medicaid billing processes
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, student-centered mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students, mostly at the elementary level
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation for therapy sessions and Medicaid billing
- Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Adapt and modify classroom environments or activities to support student access and participation
