Job Description

Make a positive impact supporting students across multiple schools as a contract Occupational Therapist, based near Toms River, NJ. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload covering the full K-12 age range, providing essential services to help students reach their highest potential. Full-time hours are set, with Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:503:40, and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:302:20. The contract runs until January 2027, with a possible extension.

Qualifications:

  • Current New Jersey Occupational Therapy license
  • Valid New Jersey Department of Education certification
  • Experience working in both school and pediatric environments
  • Demonstrated skills in occupational therapy within school, home health, and healthcare settings
  • Ability to work efficiently across multiple school sites
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs across multiple district schools
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs and district protocols
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
  • Conduct assessments, maintain records and document progress in accordance with state and district standards
  • Support students engagement, participation, and independence in classroom and school activities
