Step into a dynamic school-based Occupational Therapist role in the North Denver area, making a meaningful difference for students from preschool through high school. Two positions available: one full-time and one at 0.8 FTE, both as onsite engagements designed to offer support across two schools. The assignment begins with a required Summer Symposium New Hire Orientation from July 27-31, 2026, followed by the school year starting August 3, 2026, and concluding May 21, 2027.
What You'll Bring:
- Active Colorado Occupational Therapy license and CO DOE license
- Valid DORA certification
- Experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to adapt to preschool through high school caseloads
- Flexibility and teamwork within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment
- Commitment to equitable workload management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services aligned with IEP goals
- Assess, plan, and implement interventions for a caseload typically ranging from 40-60 students, balanced for workload equity
- Provide support for students in both general and specialized education programs
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation and progress monitoring
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Attend the Summer Symposium orientation to prepare for a successful academic year
- Fulfill all job functions onsite as assigned
