This position is based in New Mexico, serving a diverse population as an itinerant therapist providing direct services. The assignment spans the full school year, offering stability and a chance to build strong connections with students and educational staff.
Your expertise in Occupational Therapy will be instrumental in helping students reach their fullest potential. As a valued member of the schools collaborative team, youll utilize your clinical skills in diverse school settings, addressing a broad range of needs through both individualized interventions and comprehensive assessments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid New Mexico Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous experience in a K-12 or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to travel between school sites as required (itinerant role)
- Strong written communication skills for report writing and documentation
- Passion for fostering growth and independence in students
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to individualized education plans
- Assess and document student progress; write comprehensive reports
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student goals
- Travel within the district to serve multiple schools as needed
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to educational planning
