Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting. This contract opportunity, located near Texico, NM, runs from August 2026 through May 2027, providing you with the chance to facilitate growth and independence for children across multiple sites. As an itinerant professional, youll play an active role in developing, implementing, and monitoring therapy plans tailored to student needsall while working on-site within a collaborative educational environment.

What we're looking for:

  • Valid New Mexico Occupational Therapist licensure (required)
  • Experience providing OT services in school settings preferred
  • Familiarity with student-centered direct interventions and documentation such as report writing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple schools
  • Commitment to full-time, on-site work; teletherapy/VOCO is not an option

Your role and daily contributions will include:

  • Delivering direct therapy services to students on your assigned caseload
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify needs and track progress
  • Developing and updating individualized treatment plans and goals
  • Collaborating with teachers, educational staff, and families to promote student success
  • Maintaining detailed and timely therapy notes and required reports
  • Participating in IEP meetings and contributing expertise to the educational team
