This role is perfect for an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting children's development and educational success. With a consistent 37.5-hour workweek across five days, youll have the chance to create meaningful progress for children of varying abilities and backgrounds.
Qualified candidates will be comfortable adapting OT best practices to the academic environment, collaborating with educators and families, and delivering individualized and group interventions.
Qualifications:
- Current Arizona Occupational Therapy license required
- IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Previous experience in a school-based OT position preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to design and implement effective intervention plans for PreK 8th grade students
What Youll Do:
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to student needs
- Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions, adjusting methodologies to suit each childs unique strengths and challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize each students participation and success in the school environment
- Maintain detailed progress documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support program development and consult on adaptive strategies for classroom participation
