Job Description

An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide essential services to young learners in an elementary school setting located in Prospect Heights, IL. This role focuses on delivering occupational therapy support primarily through telehealth as well as in-person sessions, addressing the needs of early childhood, kindergarten, and first-grade students.

Qualified candidates will hold a current Illinois Occupational Therapist License and demonstrate the ability to manage a caseload of approximately 25 students. This position involves working 32.5 hours per week, with scheduled hours from 7:55 AM to 2:55 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy interventions tailored to EC, kindergarten, and first-grade students to enhance their functional abilities.
  • Deliver therapy services via telehealth platforms and in-person, adjusting strategies to suit individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support student development and success.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist License.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in early childhood settings.
  • Proficiency in telehealth service delivery for occupational therapy.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
