Job Description

A part-time Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized telehealth services for a homebound student during the 2026-2027 school year. This role requires delivering targeted occupational therapy support in a school setting, utilizing telehealth platforms and healthcare expertise to promote student development and independence.

Location: Pawtucket, RI
Schedule: 1 session per week, 1.0 hour per session
Contract position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services via telehealth to support a homebound students individual educational goals
  • Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to tailor interventions that promote functional skills within the students environment
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress in compliance with school and healthcare guidelines
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques aimed at improving fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills relevant to academic participation
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and consistent updates on student progress

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school-based and healthcare settings
  • Proficiency with telehealth platforms and virtual service delivery
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy interventions within educational contexts
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively, particularly with homebound students
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with education and healthcare teams
