Job Description

Make a meaningful difference as an Occupational Therapist in a supportive pediatric outpatient clinic in beautiful South Florida. Imagine providing one-on-one therapy for children ages 2 to 18, focusing on mild to moderate needs, including high-functioning autism. This position offers a flexible part-time schedule as part of a one-year contract, with the potential to extend or transition into a permanent role. Youll enjoy the autonomy of individually tailored sessions and the professional satisfaction of guiding childrens growth in speech, reading, writing, pragmatics, receptive/expressive language, and developmental delays.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Occupational Therapist license
  • Registered Florida Medicaid provider number
  • Experience working in pediatric settings, particularly schools or clinics
  • Strong understanding of autism spectrum (especially high-functioning autism)
  • Skilled in conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations
  • Effective communication in IEP meetings and collaborative team environments

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Delivering direct, individualized therapy to children ages 218
  • Implementing evidence-based interventions for pragmatic, receptive/expressive language, literacy, and developmental delays
  • Creating personalized therapy plans based on assessments and evaluations
  • Documenting progress, updating goals, and maintaining thorough records
  • Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with families, educators, and related professionals
