Job Description
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available in Taos, NM, providing in-person services within a school setting. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in supporting elementary, middle, and high school students, focusing primarily on an elementary caseload of approximately 30 students.
Responsibilities include delivering occupational therapy evaluations and interventions, collaborating with educators and families, and developing individualized education plans to support students' development and academic success. The therapist will work 37.5 hours per week, directly engaging with students to address their functional needs within the school environment.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist credential
- Experience working in school settings, especially with elementary students
- Ability to develop and implement therapy plans tailored to diverse student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with school staff and families
- Familiarity with educational regulations and IDEA compliance is a plus
Location: Taos, New Mexico
Work schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, in-person
