Job Description

A contracted Occupational Therapist (OT) role is available to provide specialized support within an elementary school setting in Tacoma, WA. This position offers an onsite opportunity with a schedule of up to 18 hours and 45 minutes per week, running from ASAP through June 12, 2026. The caseload primarily involves elementary-aged students but may vary depending on the candidates experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to the needs of elementary students.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to support student development and learning.
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with school and state requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate student care.
  • Provide guidance and strategies to assist students in overcoming functional challenges that impact learning.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current Washington State OSPI ESA Occupational Therapist license.
  • Valid Washington Department of Health Occupational Therapist license required.
  • Experience working in school-based occupational therapy is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills essential for collaborating with educators and families.
  • Ability to adapt therapy interventions to meet diverse student needs.
