Job Description

What Youll Need to Succeed:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license for Alaska (AK)
  • TYPE C Certification (required to be considered)
  • Previous experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
  • Ability to deliver in-person therapy consistentlyno teletherapy permitted
  • Preference for candidates holding AK state certification
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy to students, approximately 1000 minutes each week
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with student IEPs and educational objectives
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to address students functional, sensory, and motor needs
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Adapt and recommend classroom modifications and assistive technology when appropriate
  • Support students in developing daily living and academic skills for increased classroom participation
