Location: Surprise, AZ
Assignment Dates: August 6, 2026 May 27, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week
Setting: K-8 School District

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a K-8 educational team in Surprise, Arizona for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, school-based opportunity supporting students with diverse learning, developmental, physical, and sensory needs. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students achieve educational goals and maximize independence in the school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy screenings, assessments, and evaluations for K-8 students.
  • Interpret assessment results and develop recommendations to support student success.
  • Evaluate student functional performance in educational settings.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with school staff.
  • Communicate assessment findings and recommendations to parents, guardians, and IEP team members.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and/or 504 Plans.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to eligible students.

Qualifications Required Education & Licensure

  • Current Arizona Occupational Therapist License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, special education processes, IEPs, and Section 504 requirements.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations and students with disabilities.
