Job Description

As a contracted Occupational Therapist, youll work a consistent 40-hour schedule, partnering closely with teachers, students, and families to foster participation and functional independence within a school community near Surprise, AZ.

Your specialized skills will be essential as you provide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions, helping students access their curriculum and achieve meaningful goals. Your collaboration with educational teams will create real impact by empowering both students and staff.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current OT license for the state of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Ability to interpret assessment data and translate findings into actionable interventions
  • Experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
  • Commitment to professional ethics, student confidentiality, and inclusive practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students referred for OT services
  • Analyze and interpret assessment results, sharing key insights with IEP teams and families
  • Design, implement, and monitor IEP- or 504-based intervention plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs/504 plans
  • Support, mentor, and collaborate with teachers and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as needed
  • Maintain detailed documentation and participate in team meetings to ensure seamless student support
