Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
- Proficiency with a variety of assessment tools and therapy techniques for school-aged children
- Strong communication skills to coordinate among teachers, students, and families
- Ability to develop and implement effective, individualized intervention plans
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive school culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify needs related to fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily functioning
- Design and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions within the school environment
- Collaborate with teachers and special education teams to ensure therapy goals align with IEPs
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining thorough and confidential records
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and strategies for continued improvement
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations for accommodations and modifications
