Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract role as an Occupational Therapist supporting students in an Extended School Year (ESY) program near Sunnyvale, CA. This school-based assignment offers an excellent opportunity to engage with Transitional Kindergarten through 8th-grade students, providing services that make a tangible difference over the summer session.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active California Occupational Therapist license required
  • Experience in school-based occupational therapy, teletherapy, home health, or healthcare settings is highly valued
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with school teams and families
  • Comfortable delivering services in both individual and group sessions
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to fostering student success

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 19 students on a single campus
  • Assess student needs and develop individualized intervention plans to support academic achievement and independence
  • Conduct therapy sessions both individually and in groups, focusing on functional and academic skills
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to address student goals
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services and progress

Position Details:

  • ESY contract from June 15 to July 10
  • Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Work with TK8th grade students in a supportive, focused environment
