Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) or experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within a supportive Houston-area school environment. This full-time role, serving students aged 3-21, is ideal for professionals passionate about making an impact through hands-on therapy and collaborative support.

In this in-person position, youll manage a balanced caseload across 6 to 7 assigned campuses, prioritized within a convenient zone based on your ZIP code. With a thoughtfully structured schedule (Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week), most therapy is consult-based, with direct services provided for approximately 30-40 students. You will work closely with educational teams, conduct evaluations, participate in ARDs, and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately using SHARES and Onward software systems.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold current Texas licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Previous school-based or significant pediatric experience required (COTAs should have a strong background in pediatric or educational settings)
  • Availability for the entire contract period (August 11, 2026, to May 26, 2027)
  • Comfort with providing services to a diverse range of ages (3 to 21 years)
  • Ability to manage documentation efficiently using electronic systems, IEP logs, and district platforms
  • Willingness to complete district fingerprinting requirements if not already on file
