Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity as a long-term substitute Occupational Therapist supporting students at the elementary level. This assignment, beginning August 24, 2026 and extending through February 28, 2027, offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative educational environment.
In this role, youll collaborate closely with special education staff, general education teachers, families, and other related service professionals to foster student success, independence, and access to the curriculum. Conduct both formal and informal evaluations, develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals, and deliver a blend of direct therapy and consultative services. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with documentation requirements and drive participation in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team gatherings. Youll also serve as a valuable resource for Assistive Technology evaluation and integration.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license from the Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
- Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Experience working with children or students with disabilities; school-based experience preferred
- Background in developing and executing IEPs
- Familiarity with Assistive Technology tools and resources
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
