Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students with your expertise as a school-based occupational therapist. This role is based near Sterling Heights, MI and offers the opportunity to enrich the lives of students while collaborating with passionate educators and families.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure or eligibility to practice occupational therapy in Michigan
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Proficient with assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students to identify motor, adaptive, sensory, or developmental needs
  • Create and implement targeted interventions that support students educational access and participation
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate and organized records in compliance with school policies and regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to classroom staff regarding student needs and accommodations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to the planning process
