Key Qualifications:
- Michigan-licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) required
- Previous experience working in educational settings, especially with K-8 populations, preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with staff, teachers, and families to support student needs
- Understanding of various school-related disabilities and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Flexible, adaptable, and eager to contribute within a team setting
- Must be able to work on site (remote/virtual services not accepted for this role)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in a single school (grades K-8)
- Evaluate students and develop individualized intervention plans to enhance educational access and participation
- Work closely with teachers to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary panels
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely reporting in accordance with school policies
- Offer consultative support to staff and families to promote student independence and success
