Job Description

This opportunity is for a part-time Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within a school setting in Sterling Heights, MI. The role involves working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, delivering therapeutic services that enhance their functional capabilities and support their educational progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students
  • Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to students' needs within the school environment
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory and school policies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of inclusive education strategies

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Michigan Occupational Therapist license is required
  • Clinical Competency Certifications are preferred to demonstrate advanced professional skills
  • Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting
  • Ability to work onsite and provide direct therapeutic services as part of a multidisciplinary team
