Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students by providing Occupational Therapy services in a supportive educational setting near Sterling, AK. This contract opportunity offers both full-time and part-time positions with a unique mix of onsite and virtual options, allowing you to have a flexible and rewarding career supporting kindergarten through high school learners.

You will partner with six small schools and work closely with educators and families to deliver high-quality therapy for a caseload of 3035 students. Your expertise will create positive outcomes for children who benefit from occupational therapy, enhancing their academic experience as well as their daily living skills.

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Alaska
  • Experience delivering school-based OT services strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Comfort working both onsite and virtually (as needed)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions focused on enhancing student participation in classroom and daily activities
  • Consult and coordinate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure integrated care and progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely student records according to state and federal guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and advocating for students needs
