Youll play a crucial role in helping young learners achieve their developmental and academic goals, collaborating with educators, families, and support staff. Each day, youll use a student-centered approach to empower children and adolescents to thrive in their school communities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Hold a current Occupational Therapist license valid in the state.
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred.
- Comfort working across elementary, middle, and high school environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students motor and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide direct therapy services to students within a school-based environment.
- Consult with teachers, families, and other staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classrooms.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school policies.
