Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Connecticut
• Masters degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Understanding of IEP processes and documentation standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and classroom environments
• Comfortable collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess students motor, sensory, and adaptive needs within the educational environment
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
• Provide direct therapy services using evidence-based practices
• Document progress and maintain accurate records according to school district policies
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting for student progress
• Educate staff and families on strategies to support student development across educational settings
• Consult regularly with teachers and other service providers to integrate therapeutic goals in classroom activities
