Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by providing essential occupational therapy services to students across multiple schools. This contract opportunity supports K-12 students in a dynamic district through individualized attention and collaborative teamwork for the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Details:

  • Full-time contract position, 35-37.5 hours weekly
  • Assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, starting August 26, 2026 and concluding June 14, 2027
  • Serve district-wide across four school buildings
  • Opportunities available for both Licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). COTAs may serve students in grades 5-12 and select 2nd-4th grade classrooms, working in coordination with the supervising district OT.

Qualifications:

  • Active Vermont OT license or certificate required
  • Experience supporting school-aged children, ideally in K-12 settings
  • Recent graduates and seasoned therapists welcome to apply
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Aptitude for independent practice while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services as designated in IEPs and student plans
  • Evaluate student needs, create individualized treatment plans, and track progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to promote student independence and inclusion
  • Consult and offer training for classroom modifications, adaptive equipment, and sensory interventions
  • Maintain timely documentation and comply with all district guidelines
