Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist serving students across multiple locations in the Spring Lake area. This full-time position runs from the start of the school year through Thanksgiving break for the 20262027 academic year. As an integral contributor, you'll support diverse learners with a variety of behavioral and developmental needs, making a meaningful difference in their daily school experiences.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license (required)
  • Previous experience in school-based OT or pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work independentlyno supervision is provided onsite
  • Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and relevant compliance processes
  • Flexibility to travel between sites in Orchard, Oakridge, and Ravenna

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, develop, and implement intervention plans tailored to each students unique goals and challenges
  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students with diverse disabilities and needs
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as requested
  • Consult with school staff and parents to support effective strategies within the classroom and at home
  • Adapt learning environments and recommend assistive equipment or modifications as needed
