Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license.
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-age children.
- Preferred: Prior experience in school-based settings.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage caseloads and adapt interventions for various developmental ages.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assess students needs and develop individualized therapy plans.
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in elementary, middle, and high schools.
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy goals with classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records, evaluation reports, and progress notes in a timely manner.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student-centered goals.
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Educate school communities on the importance of occupational therapy and its role in student success.
