Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience providing OT services in a school setting, preferably across multiple grade levels
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement interventions that support learning and participation in daily school routines
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and parents
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage a dynamic caseload

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students referred by educational teams
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate strategies and supports into student learning activities
  • Support IEP development by providing detailed written reports and participating in team meetings
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff, caregivers, and other service professionals
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress notes in accordance with school and district guidelines
