Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in Michigan
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting (preferred, not required)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective therapy interventions
  • Skilled in documentation and progress monitoring

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Conduct assessments to identify students needs and develop individualized intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other professionals to adapt school activities and environments for student success
  • Support the development of fine motor skills, sensory integration, and self-care abilities
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations as part of the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain thorough and timely records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress
