Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in California
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation processes
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet student and program needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students strengths and areas of need
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions within the educational environment
- Support students in building skills for daily classroom activities, fine and gross motor coordination, and sensory integration
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing clear reports and recommendations
- Educate and collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to ensure strategies are carried over
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting goals and interventions as needed
- Promote access and participation for students with diverse learning needs
- Adhere to school and state compliance standards, maintaining accurate records
