Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in a district near South Hill, VA. In this role, youll help students build the functional, sensory, and motor skills needed for success in the classroom and daily school activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and screenings
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy services (fine motor, sensory, self-help skills)
  • Track student progress and maintain required documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings and student planning

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active Virginia OT license
  • NBCOT certification preferred
  • School-based experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
