A position is available for an Occupational Therapist to support students from kindergarten through 8th grade in Santa Fe, NM. This role involves providing therapy services to approximately 34 students, primarily in elementary grades, across two schools within the district. Open to travel, the position requires an itinerant OT committed to delivering quality care and supporting student development.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to assigned students following individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Coordinate therapy sessions and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with school staff to support student needs
- Manage caseload effectively within the workload model for K-8 students
- Provide therapy in designated spaces and adapt services according to student needs
- Engage in professional development and adhere to district policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license or certification appropriate for school-based practice
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably from K-8 populations
- Strong understanding of caseload management in educational settings
- Ability to travel between assigned schools within the district
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and related documentation
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Contract Duration: Immediate start through June 12, 2026
