A contracted opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services, located in Santa Fe, NM. This 37.5-hour per week position serves K-8 students across two schools, with a caseload of approximately 34 mostly elementary-aged students. The role features an itinerant schedule with paid travel between locations and begins as soon as possible through June 12, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students primarily in grades K-8, focusing on individualized education program (IEP) goals.
- Deliver therapy in both direct and indirect formats, utilizing available dedicated therapy spaces within schools.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and participate in paid team meetings.
- Travel between two assigned schools as part of the itinerant caseload.
- Maintain required documentation and comply with district protocols.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure with experience in school-based practice.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 34 students, mostly elementary age.
- Familiarity with school IEP systems; training is provided.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between assigned schools within Santa Fe.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and administrative personnel.
Location:
- Santa Fe, New Mexico (two school sites within the district; itinerant travel required).
