Shape an exciting summer experience as a school-based Occupational Therapist, providing essential support for TK8th grade students in a dynamic educational setting. This contract position offers the chance to make a genuine impact during Extended School Year (ESY) programming, working on a single campus with an engaging group of approximately 19 students. Youll apply your OT expertise in both individual and group session formats, helping students achieve their goals and thrive.
Role Details:
- Dates: June 15 July 10
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM 12:30 PM
- Caseload: TK8th grade learners
- Assignment: One campus, group sessions included
Ideal Experience and Qualifications:
- Current California Occupational Therapist license required
- Background in school-based OT strongly preferred
- Experience with home health, healthcare, or teletherapy settings advantageous
- Ability to collaborate with students, teachers, and families to support progress
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting therapy sessions to address individual student IEP goals
- Facilitating both one-on-one and group OT interventions
- Maintaining accurate documentation on student progress and participation
- Coordinating with educators and staff to maximize student success
- Adapting activities and strategies to meet diverse learning needs
