An exciting contract opportunity awaits for an Occupational Therapist passionate about making a difference in school-based settings. This full-time, in-person OT position is based in the Montecito, CA area, serving students and collaborating with educational teams to help young learners thrive academically and socially.
Utilize your pediatric OT skills to design and implement interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Work closely with educators, families, and support staff to promote student independence and functional skills in the classroom.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist license in California (required)
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric environment is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable and compassionate approach to student care
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Document student progress and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide consultation, resources, and training for teachers and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success planning
- Adapt interventions to suit in-person school environments and varying student needs
