This contract-based role gives you the chance to make a meaningful impact on a student body of approximately 500 in special education, surrounded by a collaborative and dedicated team. Youll provide occupational therapy services at two elementary schools and accommodate the needs of a small number of high school studentsboth typical caseloads and students requiring more intensive support. The high school is conveniently within walking distance of the elementary sites, simplifying transitions during your workday. Both full-time (37.5 hours/week) and part-time (2 days/week) opportunities are available.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist, with eligibility or active status in compliance with PED requirements (please provide updates on your PED process).
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role is strongly preferred.
- Ability to develop and carry out effective treatment plans for diverse caseloads.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Comfort with documentation and track record of effective case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group OT services to students across two elementary campuses and one high school.
- Address a range of student needs, including those with more intensive service requirements.
- Maintain organized, thorough documentation in compliance with district and PED standards.
- Actively participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators, support staff, and administrative leadership.
- Adapt to the dynamic needs of a smaller district and contribute to a positive learning environment.
