Make a difference in students lives while building your own expertise as an Occupational Therapist serving K-12 schools across San Francisco. This itinerant, contract role offers the opportunity to support children of varying ages and needs, while collaborating with dedicated professionals across the district. Your assignments will involve multiple schools in assigned geographic areas, providing diverse and meaningful experiences throughout the school year from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license from the state of California
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric OT environment is highly valued
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload across multiple school sites
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- No educator credential required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K12 students in alignment with IEP goals
- Travel between assigned schools within the district as needed (itinerant role)
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor and document student progress
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and materials as appropriate
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation according to district and legal standards
